Our Founder & Brand Story
Founded by Chris Herrington
Chris Herrington, founder, creative director, and lead designer of Herrington Teddy Bears, established the company in 1986.
The journey began with limited-edition teddy bears created for the original Cheesecake Factory restaurants in Marina del Rey and Beverly Hills. From there, Herrington Teddy Bears expanded to collaborations with Hard Rock Café locations worldwide, Giorgio Beverly Hills, Mercedes-Benz, and colleges and universities across the United States.
Herrington Teddy Bears have been shipped to more than 60 countries, and many early editions remain highly sought after by collectors today. Based in Orange County, California, Chris continues to guide the brand with a passion for craftsmanship, storytelling, and collectible design.

Limited Editions & Production Timeline
How Our Limited Editions Work
Many new Herrington Teddy Bears are offered through advance ordering. During a defined ordering period, collectors may reserve their bear before production begins.
• Production typically takes 90–120 days
• In-stock items ship immediately
• Made-to-order editions are produced once ordering closes
This process ensures every bear is crafted with care and remains truly limited and collectible.
